aggresive behavior chi

well my husband brought home a puppy chi that was given to him, kids love him but he seems aggresive when we try to grab him. so we have not been able to hold him n let him feel the love haha.. chi seems ok thru out the house but when we make an attempt to cuddle him, omg he want to bite... does any one have any tips or comments.
