At my wits end!!

I brought a 8 wk old Brindle Boston Terrier into our home, I am at my wits end with her. She is cute as can be when asleep but a "holy terrier" when awake.
She is smart I know she is 6 1/2 months old and has learn to use doggy door so is house trained but the bitting and getting into everything is crazy. I gues the biting is the worst. The vet said to throw a rolled up hand towel and in a loud voice said a sound everytime she does something. Does not work. We have had other breeds (boxer, pugs never this kind of problem) Any suggestions from other boston owners?
