Bichon Frise has the same look with Maltese dog breed. When compare with size, Bichon is larger than Maltese.

History and Origins
This breed is descended from the Barbet or Water Spaniel, Poodle which existed in the Mediterranean area as far back as 600-300 B.C.

These small dogs were brought to the United States in 1955, and were recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1973.

Bichon Frise is categorized under Non-Sporting Group in American Kennel Club (AKC), same with Boston Terrier Dog Breed

It is placed in Toy Group in The Kennel Club (UK).

Living Condition
The Bichon, like Maltese, is able to live in condominium or apartment without much trouble. These dogs really prefer more indoor activities than outdoor.

Exercise
Although the Bichon is indoor dog, he still needs to go out to explore the world and exercise at the same time. Even if you have a big backyard for him to run around, he still need to go out as no dogs like to be confined.
