My Siberian Husky - Jessica

Jessie is a pure bred siberian husky, and was born on 14.12.1999.
we got her from my dad's friend when she was just a few weeks old.
Jessie is currently 10 years old. we like to say she's a noble dog.
she is impressive looking with her rich fur, smooth walk, and quite a personality.

Jessie is very independent, and also really smart. she knows many commands, such as 'sit', 'lie down', 'kiss' 'go in', 'go out', 'turn'...
but she will not obey if she doesn't feel like it at that moment :) although she usually obeys if offered a snack. her favorite snack is a piece of pastrami.

Jessie is wonderful around other dogs and humans. she never got into any fight with another dog,furthermore when other dogs attacked her she got very confused and probably thought it was some kind of a weird game.
her only behavioral issue concerns other small animals.

She has a very bad hunting instinct, which is quite difficult to control.
we never found a solution to it other than not to expose her to small animals.

Jessie was pregnant and had puppies just once, at the age of 2, but she was never fixed. At the age of 8 she developed a uterine infection and needed surgery. The surgery itself is quite simple, but it's not that simple to operate on an 8 year old dog. Fortunately the surgery went well and Jessie got all better soon after it. To anyone that's reading this - it might be a good idea to get your pet fixed at a young age!
