Hi I was doing a search on the net & came across this website.
Our little Shih Tzu we have given the name of Jasmine was taken from a puppy mill along with her 5 pups whom are only 3 weeks old. There were 87 dogs surrendered.
At first jasmine growled at me & was very nervous. She is not housetrained & on going to the toilet stooped. I think proberly due to being in a cage crammed in along with other mums she was not used to standing up.
We are fostering her for the SPCA & she has been with us since wed. just 5 days. In that time she has learnt to trust me. No longer growls & looks 100% better than she did when she arrived. She would not eat at first,
The pups range in size. One is quite small & has been to the vet twice since arriving here.
If anyone has some advice that would help us please get in touch. jasmine & her pups are staying untill the pups are old enough to go & Jasmine is able to adapt. She is afraid of open spaces not housetrained etc.
