Why i despise Yorkshire Terriers...

In June of 2010, my mother and i purchased a 4 month old black and white Akita from a local pet store. He was a large and beautiful puppy, complete with a short attention span and braid-dead tendencies. Our family named him Sir Jasper Kodiac (Jasper or Jazz for short) and soon we all fell in love with our new addition. Jasper was a super friendly puppy, who loved on our cats and rats, and my 9 and 11 year old sisters. He did have a bit of food aggression, which the pet store warned us about, so my mother and i would work with him, feeding him by hand out of his bowl and making him sit before he recieved his food. Over the course of 4 months, his behavior improved and he developed into an intelligent, 8 month old Akita. Our neighbors on both sides had dogs significantly smaller, one side has Spaniels, and our other side has a Yorkie, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, and a Puggle. The Yorkie on the one side was very aggressive with Jasper, and any time Jasper tried to greet him, he would bite Jasper on the face. The second time this happened, my 100 pound Akita had smartened up, and when the dog bit him, he dove under our chain-link fence and bit the Yorkie on the shoulder. When my neighbors came outside to see what was going on, my dog had gotten tangled in one of their lines, and was actually playing with their Puggle in their yard. When my neighbor approached Jasper to untie him, i warned her not to touch him and let me into the yard to get him. Blowing me off, she proceeded to assure me that she works with dogs and that it was fine. She picked him up by the back of his harness, and reached in front of him, when he nipped her forearm, leaving no marks. She pulled her arm away from his reach, AND THEN PROCEEDED TO REACH IN AGAIN A SECOND TIME. Needless to say, my Akita did draw blood the second time. She and her "life-partner" proceeded yelling at me about how "dangerous" my dog was and to try my luck at coming and getting him. When i walked to him he greeted me with a smile and some tail wagging, totally calm as i untangled him successfully without any reaction from him. I am 17 years old, i had to pay 309$ for the Yorkie's vet bill (of course they requested the 150$ x-ray) and my dog was placed in quarantine for two weeks. I was not able to take him back because his "parole" would have cost more then i make on a Subway paycheck. I hate Yorkshire Terriers. That little dog got my WHOLE life taken from me.
